India-US trade talks are likely in February and will precede US President Donald Trump's India visit, according to the people aware of the development.

US trade representative Robert Lighthizer is expected to visit India in the second week of February, while Trump is likely to visit the country towards the end of February.
Lighthizer will meet commerce minister Piyush Goyal soon after they met on the sidelines of the recently-concluded World Economic Forum in Davos.
Market access, farming sector, medical devices sector in India, and India’s demand for the restoration of the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) related benefits will feature on the agenda.
