GST council accepted returns model made by Nandan Nilekani, says Manish Sisodia
Sisoda further added that the council has accepted the GST returns model suggested by Nandan Nilekani with some tweaking.
The 28th meeting of the GST council was held on 21 July and speaking on the sidelines of the meeting Delhi Finance Minister, Manish Sisodia said, "Sanitary napkins have been exempted from GST. I believe government should abolish the 28 percent tax bracket or it should be only for sin goods."
Sisodia further added that the council has accepted the GST returns model suggested by Nandan Nilekani with some tweaking.
