Cash transfers to DBT beneficiaries rise by 33% in FY20

Cash transfers to DBT beneficiaries so far have gone up by 33 percent in FY20 when compared to the last financial year. Nearly 79 crore DBT beneficiaries have received cash transfers, reports Sapna Das.

Jan Dhan Yojana has 38.26 crore beneficiaries till March 11 with total deposits of  Rs 1.17 lakh crore.
RuPay Cards: 29.23 crore cards issued till March 11.
Cash transfers: In FY20, there are 78.7 crore beneficiaries so far, up 33 percent, as against 59 crore in FY19.
Public distribution system: In FY20, 52.24 crore beneficiaries are availing of this, as against 70.2 crore in FY19.
Cash transfer schemes included PAHAL (the cash part), MNREGA, and PMAY(G).
