Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is expected to release its fourth-quarter earnings on Thursday and analysts expect the company to report weak numbers. It was seen in Oil India's numbers as well because the macros were also not so good. The Street does not expect good production on the oil side for ONGC. Here are the key things to watch out for:
>
The company's revenue is expected to decline by around 10 percent to Rs 25,000 crore.
> Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) is expected to decline by 22 percent.
> Operating profit margins are expected to see a big hit coming in at 51.5 percent versus 60 percent earlier.
> Profit after tax (PAT) is also expected to decline by 24 percent.
> The main number the analysts will be watching out for is the crude realisation, expected at $63 per barrel. That is a decline sequentially as well as on a year-on-year (YoY) basis because the crude prices were quite volatile and settled around $63 per barrel mark.
> Oil sales are also expected to decline by 11 percent both on a YoY basis and 2 percent on a sequential basis.
> Gas sales estimated at 5.2 bcm, (GU)9 percent YoY and (RD)2 percent QoQ.
