State-owned National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) on Tuesday, February 13, reported an 83.6% year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at ₹470.6 crore for the third quarter that ended December 31, 2023.
In the corresponding quarter last year, NALCO posted a net profit of ₹256.3 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company's revenue from operations increased 1.5% to ₹3,346.9 crore against ₹3,297.2 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
At the operating level, EBITDA jumped 66% to ₹773.1 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal over ₹465.6 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.
The EBITDA margin stood at 23.1% in the reporting quarter against 14.1% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal. EBITDA is earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation.
The board of directors has approved payment of the second interim dividend of ₹2 per share (40% on face value of ₹5 each) on the paid-up equity share capital of ₹918.32 crore for the financial year 2023-24.
The board of directors has fixed Friday, February 23, 2024, as the record date for payment of the second interim dividend for the fiscal.
