Mortgage lender LIC Housing Finance is slated to release its March 2019 quarter (January-March 2019 period) results on Saturday. One year back, the stock was at Rs 500 and today it is trading at Rs 480. Over the past six months, housing finance space has been under a lot of pressure.
The analyst on the street is working with a muted earnings growth seen in the fourth quarter on a sequential basis. Disbursal has been slowed down for housing finance companies and for the third quarter, the disbursement was closed to Rs 12,800 crore. Also, it is expected to slow down even in Q4.
The loan growth of the company has been around 16-16.50 percent so anything above 15 percent for LIC Housing Finance will be positive. The company has raised the lending rates in their book so that would aid in net interest margin improvement, which was at 2.33 percent in the previous quarter.
