Infosys Q4 net profit up 10.5% at Rs 4,078 crore, revenue up 19.1%

Software major Infosys on Friday, reported a 10.5 percent year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at Rs 4,078 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2019.

Software major Infosys on Friday, reported a 10.5 percent year-on-year (YoY) jump in net profit at Rs 4,078 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2019.

In the corresponding quarter last year, the company posted a net profit of Rs 3,690 crore.
CNBC-TV18 Polls had predicted a profit of Rs 3,910 crore for the quarter under review.
In a regulatory filing to the BSE, the Bengaluru-based IT firm said revenue for the quarter rose 19.1 percent YoY to Rs 21,539 crore.
The country's second-largest software services firm expects its topline to grow 7.5 - 9.5 percent in FY2019-20 in constant currency terms.
The board of Infosys appointed Nilanjan Roy as new chief financial officer.
For the FY19, the board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 10.50 per share. After including the interim dividend of Rs 7 per share, the total dividend for FY19 will amount to Rs 17.50 per share, it added.
"We have completed the first year of our transformation journey with strong results on multiple dimensions including revenue growth, the performance of our digital portfolio, large deal wins, and client metrics. This is a reflection of our increased client relevance stemming from our focus on digital, positioning, and longstanding client relationships," said Salil Parekh, chief executive officer and managing director.
Shares of Infosys settled at Rs 747.85 apiece, up 0.63 percent on the BSE.
