Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) reported it's financial results for the July - September quarter on Wednesday, November 1. The company reported a profit of ₹534.8 crore for the period under review, a 28.5% year-on-year rise. A CNBC-TV18 poll had predicted a profit of ₹451 crore.
The gas distribution company reported a 1.6% increase in revenue for the quarter under review, while margin rose 20 basis points to 19%. One basis point is one-hundredth of percentage point.
IGL also declared an interim dividend of ₹4 per share at the face value of ₹2 each. According to the exchange filing, the record date to has been fixed as November 15.
