Sugar firm Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd on Tuesday declared an interim dividend of 300% — ₹3 per equity share of ₹1 each — fully paid up for the financial year 2023-24.
The record date for the same has been fixed as November 20, 2023, according to a stock exchange filing.
"...the same shall be paid to the equity shareholders of the company whose names appear in the register of members of the company or in the records of the depositories as beneficial owners as on Monday, November 20, 2023," the company said in the filing.
Balrampur Chini Mills reported a 439.64% year-on-year (YoY) jump in standalone net profit at ₹106.24 crore for the second quarter that ended September 30, 2023. In the corresponding quarter last year, it posted a net loss of ₹31.28 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.
The company's standalone revenue from operations increased 38.31% to ₹1,539.47 crore as against ₹1,113.09 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Shares of Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd ended at ₹432.10, up by ₹1.85, or 0.43%, on the BSE.
