Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Bharat Electronics Ltd on Monday reported a net profit of ₹859.6 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal, which was 40% more than last year's ₹613 crore.
The aerospace and defence electronics company's revenue stood almost flat at ₹4,162.2 crore, compared to ₹4,153 crore in the corresponding period of last year.
EBITDA of the company rose 24% to ₹1,072.6 crore in the October to December 2023 quarter, compared to ₹863.4 crore in the year-ago quarter of last year, while margin stood at 26%.
The multibagger defence PSU also declared an interim dividend of ₹0.70 per equity share for the financial year 2023-24. The said dividend will be payable to the eligible shareholders holding shares as on the record date i.e. February 10, 2024, the company said in a filing.
"We wish to inform you that Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on 29th January, 2024, inter alia, has declared interim dividend of ₹0.70 per equity share of ₹1 each fully paid-up (70%) for the financial year 2023-24," it said.
The order book position of the company as on January 1, 2024 stood at ₹ 76,217 crore.
Shares of Bharat Electronics Ltd rose 0.24% to trade at ₹190.15 on the NSE.
