How big a Superman fan are you? Big enough to spend nearly $200,000 for his cape? Yes, Christopher Reeve’s cape from 1978's 'Superman: The Movie' was sold for $193,750 at the Julien's Auctions' year-end event 'Icons & Idols: Hollywood’.
Over 400 memorabilia straight out of Hollywood’s greatest films were auctioned. The cap, one among the six capes that were made and used for the 1978 movie set the record as the most expensive artefact at the event.
Among other interesting artefacts were props and memorabilia from Captain America, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek series, Ghostbusters, Planet of Apes and many others!
