Swedish defence major SAAB on Tuesday said that fighter jet Gripen-E is the best in terms of the sensor system.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Rituparna Bhuyan, Micael Johansson, global president and chief executive officer, said, "The company has a tremendous track record and reliability on the single-engine approach."
Johansson said, "We integrate our sensor system in an avionic system that is fantastic and a very flexible weapon system as well. So, capability wise, I am really convinced and comfortable with the offer we have made and also with the life cycle of course."
Saab is in the fray for a contract to supply 114 fighter planes to India under the Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) programme.
