MK Surana, chairman and managing director of Hindustan Petroleum Corp spoke to CNBC-TV18 about the company's outlook and the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) meeting scheduled on June 22.
On the refining front, he said, “Diesel cracks are still good in the range of 14-15. Gasoline cracks has come down a little bit, it has come around 10.”
According to Surana, diesel cracks are likely to be good going ahead because of the reasonably good demand.
“As far as crude prices are concerned, it has soften from touching $80-81 per barrel and is now hovering around $75-76 per barrel,” he added.
Surana further said that the OPEC meeting on June 22 will be an important event for the markets.
Talking about prices, Surana said, we will continue to align motor spirit prices to international crude prices.
