National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), country’s largest iron ore producer and exporter on Wednesday increased prices of lump iron ore and fines, which came into effect on January 24, 2024.
The price of lump ore has been increased to ₹6,000 per tonne and fines has been increased to ₹5,310 per tonne, the company said in a BSE filing.
These prices are inclusive of royalty, DMF, NMET and exclusive of cess, forest permit fee, transit fee, GST, environmental cess and other taxes, the company further said.
Last month, NMDC had increased the price of lump ore and fines by ₹200-250 per tonne.
NMDC has increased the prices of lump ore and fines by up to ₹1,000 per tonne since August.
Shares of NMDC Ltd were trading 2.84% higher at ₹208.20 apiece on the NSE. The stock is down 1.47% so far this year while it has risen 68% in the last one year.
