Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is set to sweep the Hindi heartland states of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and the National Capital Territory of Delhi, according to the News18 Lok Sabha Opinion Poll results revealed on Wednesday. The BJP-led NDA is set to win 77 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 38 seats in Bihar and 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh, according to the poll results. The BJP is expected to win all 10 and 7 seats in Haryana and Delhi, respectively. Not just that, the poll result suggests the BJP will open its account in southern states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Maharashtra cabinet makes inclusion of mother’s name mandatory in state documents
Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra cabinet has made it mandatory to include the mother's name in all government documents. Based on this, an applicant's first name will be followed by his/her mother's first name, then the father's first name and surname, The Times of India reported.
At the state cabinet meeting on Monday, CM Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar held placards with their names on them.

These PNB customers should update KYC details by March 19
In adherence to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, the Punjab National Bank (PNB) has asked its customers to update their Know Your Customer (KYC) information by March 19, 2024 to ensure smooth functioning of their accounts.
This is applicable only for those customers whose accounts were due for KYC updation as of December 31, 2023, the bank said.
As part of the KYC compliance exercise, PNB customers should provide their updated information like identity proof, address proof, recent photo, PAN, income proof, mobile number (if not available) or any other KYC information to their base branch.
Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund lowers minimum SIP instalment amount across 25 schemes
Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has announced a revision in the minimum instalment amount under its systematic investment plan (SIP) facility across 25 mutual fund schemes. Effective March 12, 2024, the minimum SIP instalment amount has been lowered to ₹100 and can be made in multiples of ₹1 thereafter.
This marks a reduction from the previous minimum instalment amounts, which ranged from ₹500-1,000 under different frequencies for the selected schemes. The revised minimum instalment amount applies to a diverse range of mutual fund schemes, including debt and equity funds.
