Gold loan growth has tapered down during the last quarter, said CVR Rajendran, MD and CEO, CSB Bank. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, he added that at the portfolio level, the firm's loan-to-value (LTV) today is 82 percent.
He noted that since the gold loan growth rate has come down, the March quarter is likely to see less that 6-7 percent QoQ gold loan growth.
“Fresh slippages are on the lower side in gold loan portfolio, we are tightly monitoring it,” he added.
Rajendran believes Q4FY21 net interest margins (NIMs) should be around Q3FY21 level of 5.17 percent.
“The recoveries are good during Q4 and we will be in a position to control the gold loan non-performing assets (NPAs) and there is no major slippages during the current quarter,” he stated.
