Kajaria Ceramics, a leading player in the ceramics industry, is targeting volume growth of 11-12% in the financial year 2025. The company's Chairman and Managing Director, Ashok Kajaria, attributed the expected growth to the housing scheme announcements made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Interim Budget 2024.
Highlighting the impact of the government's initiatives, Kajaria stated, "The government announced schemes for rural housing, for the mid sector, and I feel that the industry next year should grow. Currently, the industry is flat; the industry should grow at about 5-6% plus, and if that happens, Kajaria will grow at 11-12% in volume terms in FY25."
Finance Minister Sitharaman, in her recent Budget 2024 announcement, unveiled plans for a housing scheme targeting the middle class, alongside initiatives to assist slum dwellers and those living on rent. The government aims to provide two\ crore additional houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna - Gramin.

Elaborating on the new housing scheme for the middle class, Sitharaman emphasised that it would cater to deserving individuals, facilitating their ability to purchase or construct their own homes. Additional schemes are also set to aid slum dwellers and individuals residing on rent, empowering them to realize their homeownership aspirations.
