Injeti Srinivas, Chairman of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), in an interview with CNBC-TV18, said he expects about 50,000-60,000 jobs will be created over the next two-three years.
Nisha Poddar caught up with Srinivas and Cyril Shroff on CNBC-TV18's The Thought League to ponder over the potential of IFSC in India.
“GIFT City is state-of-the-art sort of city. All city infrastructure is in position, social infrastructure is coming up,” said Srinivas.
“In terms of the global ratings of the financial centres, India is right on the top in terms of the interest levels. There is a lot of opportunity for financial innovation whether it is fintech or in terms of various products like aircraft leasing or commodity exchange, like gold exchange. So there are many streams which will converge into this,” Shroff mentioned.
