Uday Kotak, a stalwart in the banking and finance sector and former Kotak Mahindra Bank chief, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 19th edition of CNBC-TV18’s India Business Leader Awards (IBLA) held in Mumbai on December 2.

Today, the bank boasts of an asset base of ₹6.2 lakh crore, a market capitalisation exceeding ₹3.5 lakh crore, and revenues over $8.5 billion, all driven by a team of more than 1,00,000 professionals.
Kotak's influence extends beyond the confines of his bank's boardroom to boardrooms across Corporate India. His vision has significantly influenced policymaking and financial reforms, leaving a lasting mark on India's economic narrative.
Kotak has served on several government panels, including its high-level committee on financing infrastructure and SEBI’s Primary Market Advisory Committee.
