Narayan highlighted the historical significance of temples, stating, "Temples have always been the center of commerce, art, culture, and much more." He expressed expectations that within the first six months, Ayodhya could attract approximately 40-45 lakh visitors, leading to the creation of around 20,000 jobs in infrastructure development, hotels, accommodation, adventure tourism, and related sectors.
The CEO of Teamlease emphasised the potential for permanent hiring to escalate over the coming months and years. He pointed to past examples and predicted a substantial increase in job opportunities, especially as Ayodhya anticipates a daily influx of 2-3 lakh visitors.
"Roughly for every 100 visitors, we estimate about 2-3 jobs get created. So you can imagine that 5% of about 10 lakh visitors start coming every month to start off with that is easily 20,000 odd jobs getting created.
So, temporary and permanent put together easily, 50,000 in three years and about one lakh jobs plus direct employment would get created in and around Ayodhya," Narayan stated.
Ayodhya's future entails significant infrastructure development, with the CEO referencing the Ayodhya master plan of 2031, projecting an investment of around 85,000 crore. This substantial investment aims to upgrade transportation and tourism-related infrastructure, aligning with the expected surge in tourist numbers visiting Ayodhya and its surrounding areas.
As Ayodhya prepares for a cultural and spiritual renaissance, the job market is set to experience a transformative wave, providing employment opportunities for both locals and those looking to be part of the city's growth story. Teamlease remains optimistic about the positive impact of this development on the region's economic landscape.
