Sterling and Wilson signs MoU with DataVolt to construct state-of-the-art data centers
Sterling and Wilson Private Limited, a Shapoorji Pallonji Group Company on Tuesday announced a collaboration with Data Volt Information Technology Company of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop and construct large scale state-of-the-art data centers adhering to global standards in respective countries.

Leaders of both the companies signed the MoU on the sidelines of the on-going Indo-Saudi Business during G20 Summit in New Delhi, India. The collaboration targets hyperscalers, colocation providers, telecom companies, and enterprises.
It was formalised on September 11, 2023, immediately following the Group of 20 (G20) Summit held in New Delhi, as part of an initiative to strengthen bonds between India and Saudi Arabia.
"With this important partnership, we look forward to creating additional DC capacity and be part of realising DataVolt’s vision of promoting a knowledge-based economy, job opportunities and strengthening the technology sector," Prasanna Sarambale, CEO, Data Centre Business, Sterling and Wilson Private Limited said.
Sterling and Wilson began offering Data Centre services in 2015. They have completed more than 20 DC projects with a total IT load exceeding 60 MW in India and international markets, collaborating with prominent organisations such as Telecom Egypt and MainOne.
"Data centers are key to support business’ growth trajectory, adopt digital technologies and enable new business models. At Sterling and Wilson, we have a proven track record of delivering complex EPC projects and are confident that we can deliver state-of-the-art data centres that will meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability," Sarambale added.
DataVolt, a sustainable data center development and operation company, focuses on creating environmentally conscious data centers for a connected world, with expertise in renewable power, computing, networking, cooling, water treatment, and reusage. The company prioritizes advanced technologies and sustainable practices in its data centers, it said.
