Now, Nawaz Modi Singhania has filed a non-cognizable complaint against the Chairman and Managing Director of the Raymond Limited (market capitalisation of ₹11,389 crore as on February 12) at Mumbai's Gamdevi police station.
Sources told CNBC-TV that the complaint has been filed under Section 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
Nawaz has accused her husband of threatening her, spying on her and  maligning her reputation. She is currently admitted in the H N Reliance Hospital for a back surgery scheduled for Monday (February 12).
The possibility of a settlement was ruled out earlier.  According to Nawaz, after a few meetings, Gautam Singhania stopped responding to the settlement conversations.

The beginnings of an escalating marital dispute
The feud surfaced when, in September 2023, news made rounds on social media that a Mumbai-based industrialist had assaulted his wife.
A couple of months later, Nawaz Modi Singhania uploaded a video on social media claiming that she wasn't allowed to attend the Raymond group's annual Diwali party despite being a board director.
Mumbai police Sources told CNBC-TV 18 that they received a distress call from their 18-year-old daughter on the police helpline (100) on the night of Gautam Singhania's birthday.
A police team with female police personnel went to the Singhania household to answer the distress call.
The police claimed the team stayed there for 2-3 hours to monitor the situation.
Initially, Nawaz didn't file a case of domestic violence, according to the cops. However, she later accused Mumbai police of not filing her FIR, a claim dismissed by Mumbai police.
CNBC-TV18 reached to Gautam Singhania's team for a response to the complaint against him. “All the allegations are false and baseless. I still choose to maintain silence for the sake of my two beautiful daughters. The truth shall prevail one day," the spokesperson said.
