State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) on Monday (September 11) said it has won the tariff-based competitive bidding to establish a 20-GW inter-state transmission system project in Rajasthan.
"...it is to inform that Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has been declared as the successful bidder under tariff-based competitive bidding to establish an Inter-State Transmission System Project for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part C1 on Build, Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis," it said.
The project's scope includes the establishment of a new 765/400kV substation, complete with STATCOM technology, situated in Ramgarh. In addition, it encompasses the development of a 765kV D/C transmission line and the extension of bays at existing substations across Rajasthan.
Shares of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd ended at Rs 264.40, up by Rs 5.65, or 2.18 percent, on the BSE.
