Honeywell's global chief executive officer (CEO) Vimal Kapur on Monday (January 15) outlined a robust growth plan that centers around three significant mega trends — aviation, automation, and energy transition.
In a conversation with CNBC-TV18 managing editor Shereen Bhan on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at the Swiss resort town of Davos, Kapur envisions Honeywell evolving and thriving in these key sectors to position the company for the next stage of growth.
Speaking on the growth strategy, Kapur states, "The real emphasis has been to simplify Honeywell to the next stage of growth. We are well positioned to take on three big mega trends and align Honeywell to that.
That's the future of aviation because we are beginning in the aerospace sector, automation, which is our core, and energy transition. And I am working to build Honeywell around these three big macros."
In a significant announcement, Kapur expresses confidence in the growth potential of Honeywell's India business, projecting a doubling of its size over the next five years.
