"We are seeing a good traction of exports, and our laden containers movement is going up compared to the empties. So I think we will gain the margin back in the coming next two quarters or the balance half of the year.”
In the second quarter, Gateway Distriparks' margin was 25.9%, slightly lower than 26.7% in the same period the previous year.
The company reported a little over 23% growth in profit after tax (PAT) at ₹73.50 crore compared to a PAT of ₹59.53 crore in July-September 2022-23.
Total revenue during the quarter under review was ₹401.42 crore as against ₹361.91 crore in the same period a year ago. The company delivered an EBITDA (earning before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation) of ₹106.13 crore from ₹98.67 crore earlier.
To support its future growth and expansion, Gateway Distriparks is committed to substantial capital expenditure (capex). Gupta announced that the company is planning to invest ₹300 crores over the next 2.5 years with ₹50 crore allocated in the second half.
