The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has imposed anti-dumping duty on ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, which is an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) used to make antibacterial.
Anti-dumping duty on imports from China have been implemented for a span of five years and will range between $0.91 and $3.27 per kg.
Around 20 percent of the revenues for Aarti Drugs comes from this particular API and the move is positive for the company.
