Premium carrier Vistara will not charge any cancellation or rescheduling fee for its flights to and from Kolkata and Bhubaneswar for travel between May 2 and May 5 due to cyclone Fani, which is expected to hit Odisha on Friday.
"In light of expected cyclone (FANI) which is likely to impact Bhubaneswar and Kolkata on 2nd May and 3rd May 2019, we are waiving change and cancellation fee for Bhubaneswar and Kolkata flights for travel between 2nd May 2019 to 5th May 2019. Fare difference if any, will be applicable for date changes," the airline said in a statement.
Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry, and Civil Aviation, also tweeted that the coastal airports have been informed of the upcoming cyclone and been directed to ensure all precautions. Airlines have also been directed to be ready in full force.#TravelUpdate pic.twitter.com/0s6473tRpD

IndiGo and GoAir have cancelled all their flights to and from Bhubaneshwar for May 3 due to the cyclone, which according to the IMD, is approaching with high speed. As per IMD, the cyclone is likely to cause "extensive" damage in Odisha.
