Two flights, which were expected to land in Hyderabad, returned to their origin airports due to bad weather conditions.
Vistara Airlines on Monday, December 25, morning said the flight UK873 from Mumbai to Hyderabad has returned to Mumbai because of bad weather at the Hyderabad airport, and was expected to arrive at 9.15am.
The same with the UK 897 Bengaluru to Hyderabad flight, which was returning to its origin airport and was expected to land around 9.40 am.
On another note, the Delhi airport was witnessing zero visibility in the early hours. The India Meteorological Department has said very dense fog with zero visbility has been prevailing at Delhi airport since 5.30am today, December 25.
It added that the runway visual range at all runways is between 125 to 175 metre. The operations at the airport are being conducted under CAT III B, which is a navigation system that allows for landings with a minimum visibility of 50 metre.
The Delhi airport has also issued a passenger advisory, saying that the landing and take offs at the facility are as per schedule. However, flights that are not compliant with CAT III may get affected, it said.
