The first flight from the UK arrived in India today post a 2-week suspension. Remember, the flights were suspended on December 23 until January 5 because of the new COVID-19 strain in the UK.

The first flight from the UK arrived in India today post a 2-week suspension. Remember, the flights were suspended on December 23 until January 5 because of the new COVID-19 strain in the UK.

The first flight from India to UK started on January 6 and on January 8 that is today the first flight from UK had arrived in India with 255 passengers.
As of now airlines from two countries are operating about 30 flights a week and this schedule with be reviewed beyond January 23rd that is when the assessment will be made whether there has been any spike in cases or not.
The cumulative count of such cases of passengers who have been found with new strain of COVID-19 is at 82.
