Low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Wednesday announced launch of eight new direct flights, connecting Hyderabad to three cities- Kolkata, Pune and Coimbatore. The new flights will be operational from January 1, 2019.
The airline launched two new flights for the Hyderabad-Kolkata route, giving the business travelers an option for the same day return journey. While the Hyderabad-Pune and Hyderabad-Coimbatore routes will have one flight each.
With this, the airline will now operate 41 flights from Hyderabad.
“Our two new flights from the city to Kolkata offers same day travel option which will benefit thousands of flyers who frequent the city for business thereby boosting the state’s growth prospects.” Shilpa Bhatia, chief sales and revenue officer, said.
The carrier is also giving introductory offers on the ticket fares. The promotional ticket price starts at Rs 2,699 for the Hyderabad-Kolkata flight, Rs 3,199 for Kolkata-Hyderabad flight, Rs 2,429 for Hyderabad-Pune flight, Rs 2,209 for Pune–Hyderabad flight, Rs 2,809 for Hyderabad-Coimbatore flight and Rs 2,309 for Coimbatore–Hyderabad flight.
Additionally, for catering the rise in the demand, it is launching six more seasonal direct flights on the Kochi-Bengaluru-Kochi and Bengaluru-Port Blair-Bengaluru sectors with an additional frequency between Bengaluru-Bagdogra-Bengaluru route.
"While the flights between Kochi-Bengaluru will operate daily, the flights between Bengaluru-Port Blair and Bengaluru-Bagdogra will fly on all days of the week except Tuesdays. The airline will operate these seasonal flights from January 5 to February 28, 2019," the airline said in a statement.
