A section of SpiceJet employees went on strike at the Delhi airport on Monday over issues of reduced salary and its irregular disbursement, sources said.
Meanwhile, SpiceJet has decreased its domestic services by 31 percent to 2,995 weekly flights in the upcoming winter schedule as compared to 4,316 weekly flights that it got approved for the winter schedule of 2019, the aviation regulator DGCA said last week.
From May 25, 2020 to October 18, 2021, Indian carriers operated domestic flights with restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The restrictions were lifted by the Civil Aviation Ministry from October 18.
