In yet another instance of unruly behaviour mid-air, a passenger under the influence of alcohol allegedly misbehaved with the crew on board an IndiGo flight heading to Bengaluru.

In a statement issued by the IndiGo, the incident took place on the Jaipur-Bengaluru 6E 556 flight on Monday. The passenger was in an intoxicated state and started misbehaving with the crew even after receiving multiple warnings, according to the statement. Later, upon landing at the KempeGowda International Airport in Bengaluru, the passenger was handed over to police.
“A passenger on flight 6E 556 from Jaipur to Bengaluru was intoxicated and misbehaved with the crew despite multiple warnings. The passenger was handed over to the local law enforcement authorities on arrival for further legal action,” the statement read.
This is not the first time that such a disruptive passenger was found on board a flight. This comes months after another passenger urinated on her co-passenger in an intoxicated state.
Earlier, another passenger was found misbehaving on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi. After consuming excessive alcohol on the flight, the man under the influence of alcohol urinated on a female co-passenger. A police complaint was also filed in the matter.
In another incident reported earlier this year, a passenger vomited and defecated while travelling from Guwahati to Delhi on an IndiGo flight. The incident, which took place in March, was shared on social media by a co-passenger who recorded the entire incident. The mess was cleared by the women crew members, pictures of which were also shared on social media.
Similar incidents have been reported multiple times in the last few months. It raised a lot of concerns among passengers, with many even asking for a ban on serving liquor onboard flights.
