Airlines seek govt help to secure credit from oil firms and airports: report

Airline companies in the country are seeking government help to obtain unsecured credit from oil firms and airports, reported Bloomberg.

The development comes as fuel-price increases push aviation firms deeper into losses, the report said citing a letter sent by Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA) to the aviation ministry.

Due to competition and aggressive pricing, the airlines are “facing challenging times and substantial losses in the domestic environment,” the letter said according to the report.
