Homegrown electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Vegh Automobiles, on Monday (October 9), launched a 24x7 Roadside Assistance (RSA) service for all its electric two-wheeler customers. This service is a result of its partnership with Global Assure, an RSA provider with a wide network of service providers and technicians across India.
In a statement, Vegh said its RSA service is designed to allow riders to enjoy their EV journeys "in a hassle-free way, knowing that help is just a phone call away". The support team operates 24x7, 365 days a year, in the 14 states where Vegh has its service and partner network.
Pragya Goyal, Co-founder & CEO of Vegh, said, “Our aim is to make electric two-wheelers a more attractive option for Indian consumers, believing in their potential to reduce India’s carbon footprint.”
The RSA facility offers a range of features including towing, flat-tyre support, tyre change, minor repair, arrangement of spare keys, breakdown support over the phone, extraction or removal of vehicles, Taxi benefits on a chargeable basis, map guidance, and hotel accommodation assistance. Riders can access a team of skilled technicians and service providers ready to help with any roadside emergency with just one phone call.
Goyal acknowledged the unique challenges associated with owning and operating an electric vehicle and stated that Vegh’s RSA programme is designed to address these challenges and facilitate the switch to electric two-wheelers.
