Automobili Pininfarina, a luxury car brand owned by Mahindra Group, has launched the fastest ever luxury electric hyper performance car, Battista, in the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday.
Battista will be manufactured in limited numbers and is expected to be the most expensive car in the company's line-up with an expected price tag of $2 million.
Battista is faster than a Formula 1 car, the company said, adding that the car can do 0-62 mph in less than two seconds and 186 mph in less than 12 seconds. The top speed of the car is of more than 250 mph and since its electric, it can cover up to 450 kilometre on one charge, it said.
Yes it finally happened. I am still in a state of disbelief that we have come so far with what seemed like a gleam in our eyes... Today we launch it inside the Geneva motor show. Keep your eyes peeled... https://t.co/ysm7nFqr92

The car is expected to hit the road in 2020 and it will be among the most powerful cars designed and built in Italy. It is likely to be available in North America, Europe and Middle East Asia markets.
The car depicts a lot of design elements from other Pininfarinas and Ferraris. Battista is long and flowy which gives a simple and elegant look.

Mahindra Group bought a majority stake in Pininfarina, a luxury electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer headquartered in Munich, Germany, in 2015. Pininfarina was acquired for around 168 million euros by the Indian auto major.
The Mahindra Group has also launched another car, Korando, in the Geneva Motor Show. Korando is manufactured by Mahindra's subsidiary South Korea-based SsangYong Motor Company.
"Yes, two launches today at Geneva for the Mahindra Group...Never a dull moment. Will send pics from the launch. The new Korando is a beauty," Anand Mahindra said in a tweet.
