Tata Motors' new facility is capable of safely dismantling 18,000 end-of-life vehicles annually and is equipped to responsibly scrap passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands. The company’ four previous RVSFs are located in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Surat and Chandigarh.

Tata Motors unveils new recycling facility, aims to turn 18,000 end-of-life vehicles into value each year
Homegrown automobile manufacturer Tata Motors inaugurated its fifth Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF), ‘Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect,’ near Delhi on Tuesday.

According to the company, the facility is established in collaboration with Johar Motors and is equipped to responsibly scrap passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands.
Tata Motors' newest RVSF is capable of safely dismantling 18,000 end-of-life vehicles annually.
Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, stated in a company release, “The inauguration of our fifth scrapping facility represents a significant advancement in making sustainable practices and responsible vehicle disposal more accessible. The creation of value from scrap aligns with our vision of constructing a circular economy.”
Additionally, Tata Motors recently announced plans to invest in the construction of its first-ever plant in Tamil Nadu. The commercial and passenger vehicle manufacturer is expected to invest ₹9,000 crore, an investment that could result in 5,000 jobs.
Tata Motors, a part of the $150 billion Tata group, manufactures cars, utility vehicles, pick-ups, trucks and buses. It also offers a wide range of integrated, smart and e-mobility solutions.
The automobile manufacturer claims to be a market leader in commercial vehicles and ranks among the top three in the passenger vehicles market in India.
Apart from India, the company also operates in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia and markets its vehicles in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia and the SAARC countries.
