The Rs 30-40 lakh SUV space is either occupied by large engine, big SUVs like the Fortuner or the Endeavour and it has the smaller, yet more premium vehicles like the Skoda Kodiaq or the Volkswagen Tiguan. So that leaves a void on the opportunity for a vehicle that is large enough to be a comfortable 7-seater, is fuel efficient and easy to drive.
