Bajaj Auto plunged 10 percent on Friday after its quarterly earnings missed analysts' estimates.

Kevin D' Sa, CFO at Bajaj Auto spoke to CNBC-TV18 about the company's Q1 performance.
“I don’t think it has been a bad quarter at all. If you look at it and analyse the numbers in totality, I would personally feel it is a very good set of numbers,” D' Sa said.
“If you look at the exports, we have grown by about 31 percent in totality. If you look at motorcycle domestic, we have grown by 40 percent. If you look at the CV business, we have grown by 80 percent and all-in-all, we have grown by about 36 percent in terms of numbers. Each of the businesses, whether we take international businesses, everything is going in our favour, we have done a record three-wheeler sales, going forward we have crossed about half a million numbers and well on track to achieve our two million numbers on the export side,” he added.
“We had set ourselves a very optimistic target of about 2.4 million vehicles, that is about 2 lakhs a month and with the study that we are seeing, we hit a runrate of 2 lakhs from April, May and June. July also looks healthy. So I think achieving 2.4 million vehicles in the domestic market, keeping in mind the fact that we have a festive season on, is very much achievable,” said D' Sa.
