Homegrown electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Ola Electric has launched a new scooter, the S1X (4kWh), in India. The scooter, equipped with a 6kW motor, offers a driving range of 190 km on a single charge and is priced at ₹1,09,999.
According to the company, the new S1X (4kWh) e-scooter is built on the advanced Gen-2 platform and offers acceleration from 0-40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 90 km/h.
The scooter is available in a variety of colours, including Red Velocity, Midnight, Vogue, Stellar, Funk, Porcelain white, and Liquid Silver. Deliveries are set to begin in April 2024.

Additionally, to address customer concerns about battery health, often seen as a major barrier to EV adoption, Ola Electric has introduced an extended battery warranty of 8 years or up to 80,000 km across all its products.
The EV maker is also offering an add-on warranty to increase the upper limit of kilometres travelled up to 125,000 km, available at a starting price of ₹4,999.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder, Chairman & MD of Ola Electric Mobility Limited, in a company statement, said, “The all-new S1 X 4kWh is an extremely compelling value proposition with an extended range of 190 km at a highly accessible price point. Our 8-year extended battery warranty at no added cost, coupled with the expansion of our service and charging network across India, will set a new benchmark in the EV industry and elevate the ownership experience of all our customers.”
The company, as part of its service expansion plan, also announced that it aims to increase its service network by 50%, from the current 414 service centres to around 600 centres across the country by April 2024.
It also plans to ramp up its fast-charging network to 10,000 points by the next quarter and has introduced a portable fast charger accessory of 3KW, available for purchase at ₹29,999.
Ola Electric, in addition to the S1X (4kWh), offers a range of other e-scooters - the S1 X+, S1 X (3kWh), and S1 X (2kWh). The prices for these models are ₹99,999, ₹89,999, and ₹79,999 respectively. The company’s flagship scooter, the S1 Pro (2nd Generation), is priced at ₹1,47,499, while the S1 Air is available at ₹1,19,999.
