Maruti Suzuki's roadmap: Upgraded Swift to be launched in Q4; all-new Celerio in Q1FY22

Maruti Suzuki, which recently raised prices by up to Rs 34,000 for its cars, is working on multiple hatchbacks, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) to continue the sales recovery in Q4 and FY22. The company, which opted out of diesel engines in March 2020, could re-enter the diesel space in 2021. There is also a strategy in place to boost exports.

Maruti Suzuki, which recently raised prices by up to Rs 34,000 for its cars, is working on multiple hatchbacks, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) to continue the sales recovery in Q4 and FY22. The company, which opted out of diesel engines in March 2020, could re-enter the diesel space in 2021. There is also a strategy in place to boost exports.

The company is likely to kick-off the export of Jimny to Latin America today, sources told CNBC-TV18. The company has been assembling the Jimny SUVs at its Gurugram plant.
According to the sources, the company will launch an upgraded Swift in Q4FY21 and an all-new Celerio in Q1FY22. The company and Toyota are working on a B Segment SUV for 2022. It is likely to launch a new Vitara Brezza in 2022.
Launch of diesel variants of Ertiga & Brezza cannot be ruled out, said the sources.
