Mahindra, Adani Total Energies ink MoU to boost India's EV charging infrastructure

Mahindra, Adani Total Energies ink MoU to boost India's EV charging infrastructure
Homegrown sports utility vehicle (SUV) manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Adani Total Gas Limited’s subsidiary, Adani Total Energies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL), on Thursday.

According to the company statement, this partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in India and outlines a roadmap for creating an extensive EV charging infrastructure across the country.
Veejay Nakra, President of Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., said, “This alliance is a cornerstone in enhancing the EV charging infrastructure, ensuring our customers enjoy seamless access to the charging network and digital integration for an unparalleled EV experience.”
The MoU includes the roll-out of e-mobility solutions to provide seamless access to the charging network for customers, covering discovery, availability, navigation, and transactions.
Mahindra claims that as a result of this collaboration, XUV400 customers will have access to over 1100 chargers on the SUV-maker’s proprietary Bluesense+ App.
Suresh P Manglani, Executive Director & CEO of Adani Total Gas Ltd., said, “The collaboration with M&M for the charging infrastructure will bolster the confidence of customers to embrace EV technology as part of the energy transition.”
