Kia has injected renewed interest into its Carens line-up with the introduction of the stylish X-Line variant. This fresh addition exclusively offers automatic transmission options for both petrol and diesel engines, setting its price tags at Rs 18.95 lakh and Rs 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively.
The Carens X-Line, which builds upon the Luxury Plus flagship variant, boasts a bunch of updates, both inside and out. On the exterior, the MPV flaunts a sophisticated Matte Graphite hue, complemented by a glossy black finish on elements such as the radiator grille, front and rear bumpers, ORVMs (outside rear view mirrors), rear skid plate, and side door garnishes.
Adding to its appeal are the 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels accented with silver brake callipers.

The rear passenger (left rear passenger) is in for a treat with the entertainment package, offering a convenient screen that can be controlled via a smartphone app. This package includes features like screen mirroring, access to podcasts, and various other entertainment apps.
Furthermore, the X-Line comes with distinctive green seats with striking orange contrast stitching, a black steering wheel cover adorned with orange stitching, and an orange-stitched gear lever. The X-Line variant is configured as a comfortable six-seater.
Under the hood, the Kia Carens X-Line retains the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel mills. These engines deliver impressive performance figures of 160PS with 253Nm of torque and 116PS with 250Nm of torque, respectively. The petrol variant is mated to a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission) gearbox, while the diesel version is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In terms of competition, the Kia Carens X-Line squarely takes on rivals like the Maruti Ertiga and Maruti XL6, offering a more budget-friendly alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, and Maruti Invicto.
