Hyundai unveils new design of upcoming Creta SUV for Indian market
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) unveiled the design of the upcoming facelift for its sports utility vehicle (SUV), the Creta, on Monday. The SUV is expected to launch in India on January 16, 2024.

Recently, Hyundai released a few teaser images of the updated Creta, featuring its India brand ambassadors, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. According to the company, the new Creta boasts a bold exterior, a spacious interior, and advanced technologies.
Hyundai claims that the new Creta is based on the company’s design philosophy of ‘Sensuous Sportiness,’ which aims to create harmony between four elements: proportion, architecture, styling, and technology. The design is inspired by the rugged spirit of off-road adventures, travel, and urban living, the company said.
Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., stated in a press release that the new Creta is set to revolutionize the SUV lifestyle in India. The Hyundai Creta, first launched in India in July 2015, has been a best-selling mid-size SUV for 8 years consistently, according to Hyundai.
“The new Creta promises to fulfill the dreams of those seeking a contemporary and adventurous SUV, boasting a robust stance and an authoritative presence on the roads. Rooted in Hyundai’s proven SUV DNA, this groundbreaking offering is poised to be the vanguard of your wanderlust,” he said.
The new Creta exhibits a robust road presence, featuring a new parametric black chrome grille, an upright hood design, distinctive quad-beam LED headlamps, and LED horizon positioning lamps.
The side profile is accentuated with an all-new alloy wheel design, while the rear profile showcases new horizon-connecting LED tail lamps, a sporty spoiler, a redesigned tailgate, and a bumper with a skid plate.
The interior of the new Creta is spacious, featuring a new horizontal dashboard with seamlessly integrated infotainment and digital cluster screens, premium leatherette seats, leatherette door armrest covering, leatherette D-Cut steering wheel, leatherette-wrapped gear shifter, rear headrest cushions, ambient lighting, rear seat two-step recline function, and more.
The company emphasizes that the interior provides ample roominess for comfort and convenience. It is gearing up to make a grand entrance soon, offering a premium driving experience like never before.
