Hyundai is set to unveil the new Santro hatchback on October 9, 2018, followed by the official launch on October 26, reported CarToq.
The car will have direct competition with the Tata Tiago and Maruti Suzuki Celerio.
Hyundai is expected to offer five variants of the new car -- Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz (O) and Asta. The Era variant will be the base model, and prices will start from Rs. 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the ABS and EBD will be standard across variants and twin airbags will be standard from the Magna trim.
Magna Trim will possess steering mounted audio controls Class-leading features on the new Santro which will include rear AC vents and a five-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The new Santro will be powered by a new, 1.1-litre 4 cylinder petrol engine and it will get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) will be offered as an option.
The bookings for the new car will start from early October 2018.
