Hyundai is set to launch its first fully electric SUV Kona in July, said Puneet Anand, senior general manager and group head for Marketing of the company.

"Being a multinational company we are very confident that for us the transition from BS IV to BS VI is a cakewalk," he said in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
The company on Tuesday launched its much-awaited sub-compact SUV, the Venue. It will take on the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon. Hyundai has kept the pricing aggressive with the lowest variant costing Rs 6.5 lakh ex-showroom.
Hyundai reasons that the move will help more people enter the segment at a time when the industry is seeing a cyclical slowdown.
"With our investment, the overall market will boom, the overall customer sentiments will improve and India, which is a very potential market, should see the kind of motorisation which we have seen in the west earlier," Anand added.
