Government likely to announce battery swapping policy in 2-3 months

CNBC-TV18 has learnt that the government is in the advanced stages of working on a battery swapping policy. The ministry has sought feedback from at least 100 companies, a lot of consultation has already happened and it is understood that the government intends to bring out the policy in the next two-three months.

CNBC-TV18 has learnt that the government is in the advanced stages of working on a battery swapping policy. The ministry of heavy industries has been working on a battery swapping policy and inter-operability standards between batteries of different electric vehicles (EVs). The ministry has sought feedback from at least 100 companies, a lot of consultation has already happened and it is understood that the government intends to bring out the policy in the next two-three months.
