CARS24 launches vehicle scrapping scheme in Delhi-NCR, offers up to ₹1 lakh in return

In addition, if customers plan to purchase a new vehicle, they can use the COD to save up to 25% on road tax, which translates to savings of up to ₹50,000 or more on a brand-new car. This initiative could enable customers to save up to ₹2 lakh on new cars. Interestingly, the COD is a tradable asset that can be sold for up to ₹1 lakh if customers decide not to purchase a new vehicle.

CARS24 also claims that this initiative contributes significantly to the environment as scrapping a single vehicle eliminates emissions equivalent to those produced by 11 new vehicles, resulting in an annual reduction of 3,300 kilograms of harmful emissions. This is equivalent to planting 1,650 trees, which helps offset 21 kilograms of emissions for a better ecological impact.

The initiative also offers societal and economic benefits, including a 15-20% reduction in carbon emissions, improved road safety, and potential boosts to auto sector sales and employment.

Step 3: Once the above steps are completed, CARS24 representatives will guide the consumer through the comprehensive online Vahan process and will also ensure a hassle-free pickup of their vehicle.

Step 4: The customer will receive payment along with a "Certificate of Deposit," when their vehicle is collected and deposited at the RVSF's advanced facility.
