Two-wheeler maker, Bajaj Auto reported total auto sales for March 2021 at 3.69 lakhs units, down 1.6 percent as compared to 3.75 lakh units sold in February. The sales numbers were higher than CNBC-TV18 poll estimates of 3.55 lakh units.

The company's domestic sales went up by 20 percent month-on-month at 1.98 lakhs. It had sold some 1.64 lakh units in February. However, its export sales went down by 19 percent month-on-month at 1.7 lakhs.
The company says export sales went down by 19 percent in March due to delayed shipping of over 35,000 vehicles. This will be accounted for in April, it added.
