The automotive industry saw some major launches and updates this week. Rolls-Royce has unveiled its first electric car, Spectre, while Hyundai has introduced the 2024 facelift version of the Creta. Apart from that, the updated version of Jawa 350 has also been launched in the Indian market. Here’s a look at some of the top of the auto launches this week:

Rolls-Royce’s First Electric Car Spectre Makes its Debut:
Rolls-Royce launched its first-ever fully electric vehicle, the Spectre, in North India on Friday, January 19. The all-electric luxury car comes with a 102kWh battery pack that has a range of 530km on the WLTP cycle. It has been reported that it can be charged from 10-80% in 34 minutes with a 195kW charger or in 95 minutes with a 50kW DC charger. The vehicle features two electric motors that produce a total of 585 hp and 900 Nm, allowing it to reach 100 kph in 4.5 seconds.
Tata Launches its first acti.ev-based car, Punch EV:
Tata Motors has launched its latest electric car, Punch EV, in the market. Apart from being fully electric, some of the new features include a full-width LED light bar at the front, a blanked-off grille, split LED headlamps and aero-designed alloy wheels. Some other additional features include automated climate control, a wireless charger, a jewelled gear selection dial, an electronic parking brake, six airbags, a blind spot monitor, and a 360-degree surround camera. The newly launched electric car comes with a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh.
Jaguar Land Rover Launches Discovery Sports 2024:
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has launched the updated version of Discovery Sports 2024. One of the most prominent features of the new version is the 11.4-inch curved touchscreen infotainment system, which is slightly larger than the last model. Some of the additional features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather upholstery, a wireless phone charger, two USB-C ports, three-zone climate control, and 3D surround cameras. The newly launched model is priced at Rs 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Creta Facelift Version Launched:
Hyundai Motor has launched the 2024 Facelift version of the Creta SUV. The redesigned Creta comes with a strong look with integrated LED daytime running lights and a larger square grille. The headlamps are now more square-shaped, and the bumper has considerable cladding and a thick skid plate, lending the car a rough appearance. For the interior, the carmakers have chosen a two-tone theme with bright hues and piano black components. The dashboard has been totally remodelled to fit two 10.25-inch displays, giving the interior a premium appearance. The price of the facelift version of the SUV starts at Rs 11 lakh for the entry-level E petrol-manual variant and goes up to Rs 20 lakh for the top-spec SX (O) diesel-automatic trim.
Jawa 350 With Revamped Features Launched:
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has recently launched an upgraded version of the Jawa 350. It comes with a powerful 334cc liquid-cooled engine, providing 22.5 horsepower and 28.2 Nm of torque, replacing the preceding 294cc engine. While the bike has maintained its classic design, the new Jawa 350 has brought in tweaks like a dual-cradle chassis, increased ground clearance (178mm), a longer wheelbase (1,449mm), and a higher seat height (790mm). The bike has been priced at Rs 2.15 lakh.
Mahindra Introduces XUV700 Napoli Black Edition:
XUV700
Mahindra has unveiled the all-new XUV700 Napoli Black Edition. The new version of the SUV comes with the AX7 and AX7 L variants, and both have added 13 additional functions to their Adrenox package, bringing the total number of features to 83. Some of the most notable new Adrenox features are FOTA capabilities, the Ask Mahindra concierge service, the Ecosense leaderboard, M Lens, and the toll diary. The price of the XUV700 starts at Rs 13.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 23.99 lakh.
