Mumbai startup unveils two self-balancing e-scooters — Liger X and X Plus

Mumbai-based electric mobility company Liger Mobility has taken the wraps off two new electric scooters, the Liger X and the Liger X Plus, at Auto Expo 2023. The company also claims that these electric scooters are also India’s first-ever self-balancing electric scooters.

WardWizard Innovations and Mobility launches high-speed electric scooter Mihos

Electric two-wheeler maker WardWizard Innovations and Mobility Ltd on Thursday launched its new high-speed electric scooter Mihos at the Auto Expo 2023. Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex showroom), Mihos comes packed with Lithium-Ion batterty, with a charging time of four hours.

SUN Mobility, provider of universal energy infrastructure and services for electric vehicles (EVs), today launched SwapX, a sleek and compact, fully automated battery-swapping solution that will reimagine the future of Urban Electric Mobility. 

The company also launched its next generation of Battery Pack - S2.1, offering a higher battery power with 45 percent more range. SwapX is a plug and play battery swapping solution that caters to a mass customer base especially small and medium businesses like pharmacy chains, and department stores to set up and manage Swap Points from the convenience of their stores. The solution offered in a franchisee model will address concerns of lack of infrastructure and long charging or waiting time by increasing network density and will encourage mass-scale adoption of EVs.

Greaves Cotton's Primus opens for bookings to 700 dealers today

Greaves Cotton, an Indian engineering company that manufactures engines and heavy equipment, is looking to boost growth in 2023 with products across categories and price segments within the electric vehicle (EV) space. The company has a robust new roadmap for electric 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers and has launched a range of new EVs at Auto Expo 2023. Auto Expo 2023: Toyota's Corolla Cross H2 Hydrogen Concept Vehicle

A 3-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbo engine utilising compressed gaseous hydrogen as its fuel powers the Corolla Cross. In general, hydrogen cars have a water vapour exhaust that is unique to the conventional IC engine. Two tanks on board will be used to store gaseous hydrogen with an operational pressure of 70 MPa. The power is directed to the front wheels. A 6-speed Intelligent Manual Transmission is in charge of the transmission, which may result in manual gearshifts without applying the clutch.

Maruti Suzuki unveils new compact SUV Fronx, check features

The new SUV Fronx, on the exteriors, gets similar design features as the Grand Vitara and carries a similar front fascia and grille design, except for the new three-pod LED headlamps. At the rear, the new SUV features an LED strip running across the width of the vehicle along with Maruti’s signature LED block tail lights.  The interior of the Fronx SUV is largely similar to other new Maruti cars and comes with features like a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charger, a flat-bottom steering wheel, HUD, a 360-degree camera, cruise control and six airbags. Suzuki has sold more than 3.2 million units of Jimny worldwide

The Jimny comes with half a century of heritage.

Suzuki has sold more than 3.2 million units of Jimny worldwide, in 199 countries and regions. But, to introduce Jimny to the Indian market, it had to be built as per the needs of Indian customers, Takeuchi said.

"Jimny in its five-door avatar is being unveiled first in India today. Positioned as an all-terrain, robust, compact lifestyle SUV, this authentic 4-Wheel-Drive off-roader can tackle the harshest of terrains," he added.

Tata Motors to continue investing in tech, will focus on all electric car segments: N Chandrasekaran

Tata is aiming at urban mobility as well as long distance trucking and will focus on both in internal combustion and electric vehicles, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran told CNBC-TV18 on the first day of the auto expo. 

In a brief interview, Chandrasekaran outlined Tata's priorities in the coming year and spoke about other things, including the Air India incident

Auto Expo 2023 Live: MG Motor unveils Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered Euniq 7

On the second day of the auto expo, MG Motor unveiled its Hydrogen Fuel Cell powered Euniq 7.

The vehicle is is powered by PROME P390 Hydrogen Fuel Cell tech. It is a production ready Hydrogen Fuel Cell MPV that takes only three minutes to refuel and has a range of 605 km.
